The role of the hypoxia-regulated gene in colorectal cancer. We found that ATR serine/threonine kinase is known as the DNA damage sensor, and is also activated upon genotoxic stresses such as ionizing radiation, ultraviolet light, and DNA replication stalling. For instance, it has a regulatory role in the response to DNA double-strand breaks. It is reported that the mutation in ATR serine/threonine kinase leads to a wide variety of types of tumors
