An additional time point at 12 h is shown for the SPSC 1116 strain. For SPSC 1114 and SPSC 1115, there was no significant difference between the cells across those 2 time points in terms of cell length, cell shape and nuclear shape. For SPSC 1116, the cells showed a distinct phenotype, that developed from timepoint 0 to 12 to 24 h, for cells to decrease in length. The nuclei of most of these cells showed a fragmentation that became more pronounced at the 24 h time point and some cells showed compacted nuclei. The phenotypical effect of thiamine addition on the mrc1-V5 strains across 24 h
